Big Wind

Big Wind is inspired by the movement of leaves and branches of trees on a windy day. The trees are battered and buffeted by strong winds, causing them to tremble and shake. The work hence aims to capture this chaotic scene. High-speed motors oscillate wooden sticks connected by pivots, emulating a chaotic pendulum, while pinhole cameras attached to them serve to capture this frenzied motion, in hopes of describing movement from the perspective of the work itself rather than from the viewer.
